Sherri Cruse at X-Games XVI
Moto-X Star Sherri Cruse
REPORTING FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIF– A couple injuries were not enough to prevent motocross star Sherri Cruse from riding in her third straight X-Games. Despite a wrist injury and a few fractured vertebrae she suffered back in May, Cruse competed in X-Games 16 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
Cruse started from the outside, but quickly darted towards the front before getting sandwiched on the first turn of the course. Cruse crashed and never recovered, resulting in an 8th place finish.
Back in 2008, Cruse took silver in the Women’s Super-X and last year she came away with a 4th place finish. Cruse says she plans to be back in 2011, and hopes for a podium finish.
